Develop your skill set in more than one subject area and study with a wider range of expert staff on the Folk with Production course at Leeds Conservatoire.. You’ll take your Specialist Study modules in Folk and your Specialist Group Study modules in Music Production.
Rebellion. Tradition. Activism. Our exciting, inclusive approach to folk and traditional music explores music, stories and traditions from all over the world. We explore traditional music from the British Isles and globally, expanding it through innovative performance, composition, arrangement and recording techniques. We champion original material, and encourage you to take creative risks. From this grounding in folk and traditional music, you will experiment with other genres and cultural identities, forming and joining innovative ensembles, building your repertoire in performance or composition. Your experiences in Folk and Music Production will give you the chance to develop new sounds and new ideas.
