History and Education BA at Keele explores how the past continues to shape the present. You'll learn how to apply historical insights to address some of the urgent education issues facing today's world. The programme combines academic study in both subjects with hands-on experience in diverse learning environments, from classrooms to community work. Field trips, guest speakers, school placements, and experiential learning will help you build your portfolio, preparing you for a successful career in education, a broader range of public-facing roles, or further study.

Course overview History and Education BA at Keele explores historical chronology and the landscape of schooling and education in the modern world. You will explore issues including diversity and inclusion, and how government policies often contribute to the disenfranchisement of groups in education. Analyse how the education system works, and themes such as changes in social mobility and inequality over time.
