Course overview

ISA Lille offers a Master of Science and Engineering with a major in Environmental Science, focusing on Sustainable Management of Pollution (SMaP). The SMaP program, taught in English or in French, is based on the internationally renowned expertise that ISA Lille has gained in the management of polluted sites.

Over the last 15 years, ISA Lille has built its expertise on:   

  • applied courses in soil remediation, waste management, urban planning & environmental engineering   
  • research activities in the field of Soil Pollution and Remediation (LGCGE National Lab)   
  • cultivating an international network of partner universities   
  • industrial partnerships

The Environmental Science program is designed to train future managers and scientists ready to face various issues in environmental management.


Entry requirements

  • Min. Bachelor degree in Life Sciences (Agriculture, Food Science, Biology, or related field)   
  • B2 level in language of instruction (French or English) certified by an official test score (DELF, DALF, French Bac, TOEFL IBT 80, TOEIC 785, IELTS 6.0 or equivalent), except students from countries where the desired language of instruction is an official language.  
  • French is NOT a pre-requisite for English-taught programs
