Course overview
Industrial Biotechnology is a key technology without which global nutritional problems cannot be solved in the future. In the food industry, biotechnology contributes to the development of speciality products such as lactose-free foods to meet the nutritional needs of specific consumer groups. In medicine and pharmacy, it also enables the development and production of innovative vaccines, which are crucial in the fight against infectious diseases and pandemics. Studying biotechnology gives you the knowledge and skills to develop sustainable and innovative solutions in these dynamic and important areas.
In addition to the basics of natural sciences and engineering, the broad-based university studies programme at Fulda University of Applied Sciences focuses on bioprocess engineering, cell culture technology, applied microbiology and molecular biology.
