Course overview

Most of the food we buy in the supermarket is industrially produced. Agricultural raw materials such as grain are processed in many steps before being sold as food. In the process, they are chemically, physically and microbiologically modified. Food technology is therefore an interdisciplinary engineering science. The Bachelor's degree programme in Food Technology offers students training related to practice in food engineering based on academic research. The entire food chain ("From Farm to Fork") is analysed from a technological, technical, economic and scientific perspective.
