Course overview

Objectives:

The joint Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) between Grenoble Ecole de Management, one of France’s foremost business schools, and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, an Italian university of excellence, provides senior managers, executives and management educators with the opportunity to study for a professional practice doctorate delivered in English.

It is specifically designed to meet the requirements of those interested in the management of technology, innovation and organizational change.

Program Description:

The program consists of a combination of workshops and presentations interspersed by periods of individual research and supervision.

It is structured so that the majority of registrations will be part-time and that students will combine research with ongoing careers in business, commerce or management education, training and/or consulting. It has two sequential elements:

Part 1: Theory and research in management of technology, innovation, and organizational change – approximately 2 years of part-time study.

Part 2: DBA research and thesis – approximately 3 years of part-time study.

Successful completion of Part 1 is compulsory in order to move on to Part 2.

This joint program combines research strength of two top international business schools. Students are based either in Pisa or Grenoble.

Careers:

A DBA is increasingly recognized as the most appropriate post-Master’s degree for senior business professionals and educators.

This advanced degree helps with entry into senior executive management and high-level business consultancy, and bestows the necessary academic qualifications to teach at a business school.
