The focus of our Master's course is on wood as a material of the future. After all, the importance of this versatile material is growing steadily, not only because of its valuable contribution to climate protection. In our Master's degree in Wood Technology & Wood Management, you will learn all about the enormous future potential of renewable building materials. You will deal with the development of new products and become an expert in the efficient use of material resources and research on new applications.

Among others, during your training as a manager and development manager for the timber industry, you will deal with the following areas:

  • Characteristic properties of wood as a material
  • Specifics of working and processing
  • Economic aspects
  • Social-communicative skills

In addition to having a basic knowledge of material science, economics, and management, our Master's degree programme allows you to choose your specialisation from the second semester.

Focus on one of the following two areas:

  • Wood technology: analysis of material and information flows, production processes, and technology used in companies in the timber industry
  • Timber construction: development of innovative wood building materials, individual focus areas in conception, planning, production, and project management
