Course overview
The aim of the programme is to provide students with advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of molecular and cell biology, genetics and virology, to introduce them to modern methodological and technical approaches used in these fields and to the possibilities of their application in solving current problems in biological sciences and biomedicine, including interdisciplinary overlaps. This focus can be characterized as the study of biological processes at the molecular and cellular level, especially complex interactions between cells and the environment and between informational biological macromolecules (DNA, RNA, proteins), using state-of-the-art molecular biological and bioinformatic approaches and techniques.
