Course overview
This CertHE is for Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Care Assistants (or equivalent). If you are currently employed by an NHS Ambulance Service Trust on a full-time basis and wish to develop your knowledge and understanding of pre-hospital care, this is the programme for you.
The course allows you to develop essential skills and gain accreditation and recognition for a complex role. It is designed to enhance your knowledge of legal, ethical and professional aspects of pre-hospital care. You will consider common conditions and their treatment, immerse yourself in patient assessment and clinical skills, examine anatomy and physiology in health and disease, and develop your communication skills and patient history taking ability.
