Course overview
This major introduces you to accounting principles, auditing, taxation, relevant areas of business law and financial management. You can examine the development and communication of information relating to the financial performance of organisations, learn to prepare reports and give advice on an organisation's record-keeping and compliance requirements. This major is accredited by the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants, and has had excellent recognition by major chartered accounting firms. Those completing accounting will be eligible to apply for admission to the CA program of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, the CPA Program of CPA Australia, as well as the ACCA Accelerate program.
