Course overview

The Master of Arts in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies provides its students with in-depth knowledge of the European Union as a global actor as well as skills in international negotiations and diplomacy. The intensive one-year study programme brings together an interdisciplinary analysis of the EU’s external relations with a professional dimension preparing graduates to enter the European, international or national public administration as well as the non-governmental or private sectors, and it may serve as a stepping stone towards doctoral studies. It leads to an accredited degree of 66 ECTS.

The Department's professors are internationally known experts, representing a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, countries and approaches. They include academics from renowned universities and think tanks as well as practitioners with many years of experience working for or with the EU or other international institutions.

The learning experience is reinforced by the daily interaction with a highly diverse student body, comprising more than thirty different nationalities. See admission requirements.
