Course overview

Graphic design isn't just about making something look good. It's about organising information to deliver a message with impact. To achieve this, you need to learn about techniques and processes and what the industry expects from its future designers.

Plenty of avenues are available to share your voice and talents while also building a career in design. From Graphic Design to UX and Web Design, to Interaction, Service, and Experience Design, Graphic Artists, Typographers, Advertisers, Branding Specialists, and Illustrators, there's a need for those who can communicate with a unique voice.

The Graphic & Digital Design course teaches the in-demand knowledge and skills for creating outstanding and meaningful design as a professional career. From traditional print work to contemporary interactive digital design, our experienced lecturers will share design principles and transferable industry skills that prepare you for a career.

The course will also explore communication, brand strategy, customer experience, service design and digital media. You will undertake fundamental units in motion design, human-centred design, data analysis, visualisation & information design, brand experience, design principles, elements and colour theory, typography and publication design.

Collarts offers a variety of real-life industry experiences, the opportunity to create a capstone project, undertake industry placements, and develop a professional portfolio.
