Course overview
The Assessor Qualification is designed for staff whose duties include workplace assessment of vocational qualifications. You must undertake the unit L&D9DI (Assess Workplace Competence Using Direct and Indirect Methods) as part of the Level 3 or 4 Learning and Development award, or as a stand-alone qualification.
SQA Learning & Development Unit 9DI (previously A1) - Assessing Workplace Competencies Using Direct and Indirect Methods. This course proves your ability to assess a candidate to the standards of the SQA and is an essential qualification for those wishing to assess within their own organisation, or on a freelance basis. This course is suitable for those who are experienced practitioners within their field and are "operationally competent to the standard described in the units they are assessing, based on current professional practice".
The L&D9D1 Award enables you to assess what SVQ candidates can do and what they know and understand about the job they are doing.
