About Marine Operations Scottish Professional Diploma, Diploma - at City of Glasgow College

Prior to commencing this course students should have completed Phase 1 of the Scottish Professional Diploma.

This course is for students with higher level entry qualifications. It is the Scottish equivalent to the Foundation Degree. The course consists of two elements.

  • The HND Nautical Science. This is delivered during the first and second college phases and covers all the units for the SQA Group Award at Level 8.
  • Professional Development Award in Marine Operations. This is a management award at SCQF Level . It gives students the opportunity to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills.
