Course overview
This Jewellery Design course will teach you a comprehensive range of skills in Jewellery Design and Manufacture, with a design-led focus. You will be encouraged to develop your own creative ideas and will be taught how to translate these ideas into finished, 3D pieces of jewellery. The course will cover basic areas such as metal forming, piercing, soldering, stone setting, Design, and CAD. By the end of the course, you will have produced a substantial body of work
Your course will be delivered by qualified lecturers, all with a Degree in Jewellery/Silversmithing, TQFE Certified and have related industry experience and various specialised skill sets.
You'll learn to design and manufacture pieces with various precious and non-precious metals (please see the 'Materials' section, below, to find out more).
The course is project based with units usually being integrated. You'll study specialist practical techniques which can be found in the 'What you Study' section, below.
