Course overview
This blended learning course is designed to enable you to develop knowledge and understanding of the methods of spread of HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C and ways of preventing this spread. You will gain knowledge of the signs, symptoms and the possible progression of each infection.
You will also examine the effects of prejudice and discrimination on infected individuals and how this may be challenged. Finally, you will investigate how infected individuals can use support services to promote their own well-being.

- The spread of Hepatitis B and C and possible effects of the infection.
- Attitudes that can influence the care given to those with HIV infection or Hepatitis B and C.
- Evaluate how the carer can assist those with HIV infection or Hepatitis B and C to assume responsibility for the well-being of themselves and others.
