The Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) Entry into Enclosed Space course provides training that delivers the knowledge requirements set out in The Merchant Shipping (Entry into Dangerous Spaces) Regulations 1988, IMO Resolution A.1050 (27) Revised recommendations for entering enclosed spaces aboard ships and the Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers 2015.

  • Carry out testing of an atmosphere using typical test equipment.
  • Carry out a safe enclosed space entry.
  • Practice rescue from an enclosed space making use of EEBD, tripods and stretchers.
