Course overview
This introductory course will appeal to anyone interested in the performing arts - drama students, actors, creative writers.
Working within our college lecture theatre you will learn about improvisation skills, group interaction and solo work. Working mainly from scripts you will develop techniques and skills in voice and movement, developing an overall performance level in professional development. You will enhance your script analysis skills and develop an understanding of playwrights and their writing styles. At the end of the course you will have the opportunity to perform script extracts to friends and family within the college lecture theatre.
The course will be taught by Stephen Cafferty (B.A. Acting and Performance) who has taught drama within schools, colleges and directed many plays over the last 15 years.
