Course overview

This course will give you an introduction to 3D modelling (digital) and enable you to realise three-dimensional forms using solid and surfacing modelling techniques.  It is suitable for designers, makers and anyone else who may have an active involvement in the design and manufacture of 3D objects.  It may also be of interest to anyone else interested in the subject. You will use industry standard software, SolidWorks, which you will be able to download free for your personal use.

What you study

You will study:-

  • Solid and Surface digital modelling techniques using Solidworks.
  • Production of basic manufacturing data.
Teaching How the course is taught

Demonstrations and practical exercises delivered in dedicated CAD suite.

Additional Information Materials

You will need to bring a memory device.
