Course overview
Develop the clinical skills, knowledge, and experience needed to deliver the best care to your patients and become a mono-specialist in fixed and removable Prosthodontics.
This three-year training programme will give you the opportunity to develop the clinical skills, knowledge, and experience needed to deliver the best possible care to your patients and become a mono-specialist in fixed and removable Prosthodontics.
You’ll gain early clinical exposure treating and managing your own list of patients under the supervision of experienced specialists, thanks to our strong relationship with the NHS, and our programme being delivered in a working Dental Hospital.
Your taught modules will cover a range of subjects from the foundations of restorative dentistry and research methods, to advanced clinical removable prosthodontics. You will be taught by supportive, inspiring academics who are leaders in their respective fields.
During your final year, you will undertake a clinical or laboratory-based research project in an area of interest to you, helping you develop skills in collecting and analysing data, and interpreting and reporting research findings.
As a successful graduate of this programme you’ll be equipped with the clinical skills, confidence, and knowledge to deliver the best possible care to your patients. You will also be eligible to enter the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) examination.
