Course overview

The Aston Health Psychology MSc programme is accredited by the British Pscychological Scociety (BPS) - you'll discover more about how biology, psychology, behaviour and social factors influence health and illness. Health psychology explores how behaviour influences health and illness, and how we support people living with long-term conditions. Health psychologists apply psychological knowledge to understand health behaviours and design interventions that encourage positive change.

Health psychologists play a crucial role in areas such as supporting patients' emotional and psychological well-being, helphing healthcare professionals build effective communication and relationships with patients, and working with health and social care organisations to promote well-being and reduce health inequalities.

From public health and health inequalities to the psychobiology of illness and chronic conditions, this BPS-accredited Health Psychology MSc will give you a deep grounding in the theories and applications of the field - preparing you for a rewarding career in health psychology and beyond. This programme is also available as a part-time onlien / distance learning programme option.
