Course overview

Data plays a central role in how organisations make decisions, optimise processes and develop new products. Walbrook’s MSc Computer Science with Data Science combines computing expertise with modern data analysis techniques so you can build systems that turn data into actionable insight.

The programme covers the core principles of computer science alongside specialist topics such as data analytics, machine learning and data visualisation.

You’ll explore how data is collected, processed and analysed while also learning how secure software systems and scalable cloud platforms support data-driven applications.

Delivered entirely online, the degree allows you to develop technical data skills while studying flexibly around professional commitments.

Entry requirements

To apply for the Walbrook MSc, you’ll need to meet the following:

  • 2:2 honours degree and above (or equivalent) and typically 2+ years of professional experience.

We’ll review your academic and professional background on a case-by-case basis. Applicants without a first degree but with more than two years’ relevant professional experience in computing-related roles may be considered.
