About English for Knowledge, Culture and Innovation, Bachelor Degree - at University of Wroclaw

Explore the World of English for Knowledge, Culture, and Innovation

Language is more than just communication - it shapes knowledge, culture, and innovation across global industries. The English for Knowledge, Culture, and Innovation (EKCI) programme offers an in-depth study of the English language while developing essential skills in linguistics, intercultural communication, and critical analysis. This programme prepares students for diverse careers where language mastery and cultural awareness are key, combining theoretical learning with hands-on experience in real-world applications.

Programme Overview

The EKCI programme provides a modern curriculum that integrates linguistics, cultural studies, and professional communication. Students will refine their English language proficiency while exploring subjects such as pragmatics, language diversity, and intercultural communication. The second year allows students to specialise in one of two modules: Global English Cultures and Languages, focusing on cultural and literary studies, or Psycho-Pedagogical Aspects of Language Acquisition, emphasising language learning processes and pedagogy. Through qualitative and quantitative data analysis, critical thinking, and applied research, students gain practical expertise highly valued in industries such as education, media, translation, and international business. The programme also fosters creativity, teamwork, and cross-cultural sensitivity, making graduates well-prepared for roles in teaching, negotiation, tourism, and global communication. With a strong emphasis on both academic and professional development, this programme provides the skills needed to succeed in today's multicultural and knowledge-driven world.
