Course Overview

Based on the Health and Safety legislative requirements and guidance identified in the Working Safely module, learners will analyse the Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures in place at their workplace; reflecting on its effectiveness, and identifying any areas for improvement. Learners will develop a prioritised safety improvement plan in order to address any identified gaps and improve Health and Safety in their workplace

Assessment

A written assignment outlining the gaps identified by their analysis of the existing Health and Safety provision in their place of work, the risk assessments completed and employee consultation and involvement.

Generating a prioritised plan to address any deficiencies identified

Further Information

You will be required to attend two half-day teaching sessions at the Carmarthen Campus. These days will provide you with a secure foundation for your study. Through-out this module you will be supported by a Tutor. This support can either be face-to-face, via telephone, email or Skype - or a mix of all these. You will be required to complete the module within three months of the induction.
