Course overview

To meet the ongoing demand for talent, the Auckland ICT Graduate School (a joint initiative between the University of Auckland and the University of Waikato) has developed two new postgraduate programmes - the Master of Information Technology (MInfoTech) and Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology (PGCertInfoTech).

Whether you have successfully studied business, the arts or sciences, the PGCertInfoTech will build on your existing critical thinking and communication skills, equipping you with specialised knowledge in the fast-growing ICT sector. Completing this intensive programme will equip you with up-to-date-knowledge of modern ICT practice to complement the skills you have already developed.

Programme Details

The PGCertInfoTech is one semester long (60 points) and is designed for students who already have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in another subject. You will study two papers full-time: COMP568 - Programming for Industry and COMP569 - Programming with Web Technologies

The PGCertInfoTech also provides the ideal bridge to the MInfoTech. You can complete both of these programmes (240 points) in 1.5 - 2 years depending on when you start.
