International tuition fees are 14,000 Euros per year. The University also offers generous scholarships as tuition fee waivers up to 6,000 Euros available across both years of study.
You do not have to pay tuition fee if you:
- are an EU/EEA citizen
- are equivalent to an EU/EEA citizen (i.e. citizen of Switzerland)
- have a permanent residence permit (type P)
- have an EU Blue Card
- have a continuous residence permit in Finland for purposes other than studies. However, please note that in the following cases the tuition fee is charged:
- If the first residence permit in Finland was granted for the purpose of studying, tuition fees must be paid, even if a type A permit is later obtained on other grounds.
- If the type A permit is based on family ties, and the family member originally came to Finland on a residence permit granted for studying, tuition fees are required.
- If the type A permit is granted for studying, tuition fees are required.

Course overview
This major offers a unique opportunity to delve into industrial systems design and analytics while addressing the data challenges of today's business world. Throughout the studies, you will explore a wide range of topics, including data science and analytics, quality engineering, systems engineering, Six Sigma, decision support, and project management.
Upon completion, you will be equipped to generate valuable insights from energy system data, develop and uphold high-quality standards for energy operations, and design efficient and successful energy systems. Additionally, you will master the ability to integrate both quantitative and qualitative data for informed decision-making and gain expertise in planning and managing projects in the energy sector.
The studies prepares you to lead innovation in industrial energy systems, focusing on product and service development, delivery, and use. Successful completion of the Lean Six Sigma Statistical Control course will also grant you a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Courses consist of lectures, teamwork assignments, projects, presentations, and final exams. The degree includes both online and in-class teaching. This is a full-time on-campus major taking place in Vaasa. Some courses are offered in hybrid mode for the final year spring to support also online participation.
The major in Industrial Systems Analytics is a part of the Master's programme in Industrial Engineering and Management. The duration of studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits).
