For EEA students the fee amount ranges from 0 to 2.959 euros, according to the student's family economic condition. For non-EEA students the fee amount ranges from 0 to 4.500 euros according to the student's performance (for top scored admitted candidates fees are waived).

Course overview

The Interuniversity Master in Energy Engineering is offered by the University of Trento, Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering in collaboration with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Faculty of Science and Technology.

The course aims at training experts who will be able to deal with the various aspects of planning, implementing and managing integrated energy systems, such as renewable sources production plants, low energy consumption buildings and electric and thermal energy distribution networks, high efficiency industrial process plants.

The courses are taught alternatively at the campuses of Trento and Bolzano.


Entry requirements

Curricular requirements for admission to the second year:

a) holding a degree title obtained in Italy according to law 'DM 270/04' classes L-7, and L-9 or a degree title obtained according to law 'DM 509/99' classes 8 and 10 or equivalent

or holding a degree title in the broad classes of Industrial Engineering or Civil and Environmental Engineering or closely related scientific disciplines obtained abroad.

b) having some documented background in the specific scientific areas listed in the in the following scientific areas:

Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Thermodynamics and heat transfer, Electrotechnics, Fluid mechanics, Materials Science, Technologies and production systems, Mechanics of structures, Fluid machines

d) having some documented background of second-level degree studies. Only in the case where the selection committee recognises at least 24 ECTS from a previous second-level career is the candidate considered eligible for admission to the second year.

NB: candidates who do not meet the requiremets for admission to the second year may apply for admission to the first year at the University of Bolzano-Bozen.
