About Bachelor of Business and Commerce (BBCM) (Management and Leadership), Bachelor Degree - at University of Southern Queensland

All organizations need great leaders to empower and motivate staff and to guide the business through the complexities of the modern economic environment. If you want to focus on becoming an excellent manager and developing the skills that you can take with you to any workplace, the Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Management and Leadership) is for you.

At the individual and group level, you will explore how different behaviors and conflicts develop and how to deal with individual differences. You will study how organizational groups learn and challenge their own thinking and how managers can create an organizational climate that helps people see the big picture. To develop leadership skills, the major addresses different leader approaches from behavioral leadership to strategic and authentic leaders and how to lead innovative and creative ventures and entrepreneurial activities and thinking.

In addition to your chosen specialization of Management and Leadership, you can choose to study another area in-depth with a second major, or broaden your knowledge with a combination of minors and electives. These can be chosen from a wide range of business and commerce-related fields.

Career outcomes

As a graduate from this program, management and leadership roles in a wide range of public and private enterprises can be made available to you, such as human resources director, corporate services director, organizational development director, corporate planner and policy officer.
