USQ's Bachelor of Sport and Exercise (Sport and Exercise Science) will prepare you for a career in the exercise, fitness and sports industry. Your studies will focus on developing the health and fitness of people across their whole lifespan, including the elderly, pregnant women, children and those with chronic disease and disability. By combining theoretical knowledge and practical applications, with 140 hours of professional practice placement, you will be well equipped for the career market.
Career outcomes
As a graduate of the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise you could work as a sports coach, gym manager, mobility and cognitive practitioners, recreation officer, personal trainer, sports development officer, sports performance director, medical company representative, sports scientist or sport manager or work within sports tourism, community health and aged care industries.
Professional accreditation
As a graduate, you will be able to gain membership as an exercise scientist through Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA). Membership of other professional associations such as Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) is available.
