About Graduate Certificate of Engineering Technology (GCEN) (Structural Engineering), Graduate Diploma - at University of Southern Queensland

This degree aims to enable students to complete a postgraduate program that will lead to an advanced level of knowledge in a specialised area of engineering. The graduate certificate of engineering technology (structural engineering) is ideal for engineers or scientists who have a three-year degree in science, engineering or technology and want to extend their knowledge of structural engineering. Through this four unit degree, students have the option to select from a range of courses (subjects) which will empower them to apply engineering solutions to the construction of major infrastructure projects. Courses include concrete structures, structural design and construction methods. Students could take the credit from their studies and go on to complete the master of engineering technology. As a structural engineering graduate, their experience could land them a job in major construction projects, including buildings, towers, bridges, dams and tunnels.
