About Graduate Certificate of Engineering Technology (GCEN) (Power Systems Engineering), Graduate Diploma - at University of Southern Queensland

This degree aims to enable students to complete a postgraduate program that will lead to an advanced level of knowledge in a specialised area of engineering. The graduate certificate of engineering technology (power systems engineering) is ideal for engineers or scientists who have a three-year degree in science, engineering or technology and want to extend their knowledge of power systems engineering. Through this four unit degree, students have the option to select from a range of courses (subjects) which will empower them to apply engineering solutions to power generation and distribution. Courses include electricity supply systems and sustainable development. Students could take the credit from their studies and go on to complete the master of engineering technology. Power engineers are at the forefront of alternative power sources such as solar and wind energy. As a power engineering graduate, students will increase their employability in power supply and distribution, power generation, mining, rail and transport, and consultancy.
