Course overview

This degree is currently Australia's only Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) approved tertiary postgraduate degree that makes you eligible to apply for scheduled medicines endorsement for nursing practice in a rural and isolated practice area. A Rural and Isolated Practice Endorsed Registered Nurse (RIPERN/RIPRN) is authorised to obtain, supply and administer Schedule 2, 3, 4 and 8 medicines, under protocol.

As the four courses within the Graduate Certificate of Health (Scheduled Medicines) are also embedded in the Graduate Diploma of Health (Rural and Remote) and the Master of Health (Rural and Remote), you have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete further study to increase your career opportunities.
