Course overview

USQ's Graduate Certificate of Education (Early Childhood) is ideal if you work with young children and their families and want to extend your early childhood expertise, knowledge and skills.

Through this four unit-degree, you will explore international, national and local issues relating to the education of young children and develop the ability to critically analyses your understandings of contemporary learning and teaching.

Designed to tap into your work environment and apply theory to practice, you will also complete a 15-day professional study unit in an early childhood environment.

Alternate entry is available for those who do not have an undergraduate degree but have other qualifications and work experience which are equivalent to normal entry requirements.

Further Study

After you complete the Graduate Certificate of Education (Early Childhood), you will have the option to take the credit from your studies and go on to complete the Master of Learning and Development.
