Course overview

The course is a modern engineering management degree that allows you to use your analytical and business skills to solve real-life problems, and is relevant to a wide range of industries. Technology management engineers are sought-after in all types of industries, from food processing to pharmaceutical manufacture, as well as in high-profile sectors such as automotive and aerospace.

The overall aim of the course is to develop the intellectual, practical and interpersonal skills of our students, and to prepare them for a career in engineering technology in the engineering management field. This is achieved by providing a sound educational base in the fundamental theoretical, practical, sustainable and managerial aspects of engineering technology together with other complementary topics appropriate for the level of study.

An important consideration that has been addressed is that the students should find their studies not only stimulating and challenging but also enjoyable and rewarding.

At USW we have a long history of industrial engagement and we have used this knowledge to develop a challenging and stimulating course.
