Course overview
The University of South Wales' LLB (Hons) Legal Practice (Exempting) degree has been officially validated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to give you the skills to become a highly employable solicitor.
If you want to be a solicitor, this is a great way to combine the academic and vocational stages of your training. University of South Wales is a Top 50 Law School, according to Guardian League Tables, and prides itself on its excellent teaching and student support.
This course is the only one of its kind in England and Wales, combining an undergraduate law degree (LLB) with the requirements of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) over three years instead of the usual four.
When you graduate, you'll be ready to enter a law firm as a trainee solicitor without undertaking a separate LPC. You will study alongside students on the LLB (Hons) Law course in the first year. The professional element is spread over years two and three. During this time, you will work at our Legal Advice Clinic.
