Turn your love for dance into a world of inspiring possibilities on our Dance BA. By joining our friendly and diverse dance community, you will be able to learn about dance beyond performance, whilst developing your own confidence and identity as a thinking dancer in preparation for a fulfilling career.
At Roehampton, developing your own voice and experience is as important as your dance technique. You will be part of an exciting, creative degree where you will pursue your interests growing as a dancer to explore the impact that dance has on our world today. Our Dance BA integrates theory with contemporary dance practice introducing you to a many dance possibilities and professional opportunities.
You will be taught by our passionate world-class lecturers who are all dance professionals. We have many exciting partnerships with a host of choreographers, dance artists, and companies. Our modern and spacious studios, professional-standard theatre and teaching spaces are places where you can share ideas, and work collaboratively with our alumni, dance organisations, and the wider community locally, nationally, or internationally.
You will explore the familiar and unfamiliar from ballet to capoeira to hip hop. You will also think about dance from different perspectives including dance history, philosophy, anthropology, choreography and the ways in which dance shapes or is shaped by society.
