Course overview

The School of Psychology has been ranked among the top three of the UK's 83 psychology departments by The Times Good University Guide for the second year running. It offers a single honours degree as well as combined courses with Cognitive Neuroscience or Philosophy.

As well as involvement in various areas of interdisciplinary research, the school also focuses on four core areas: Cognition and Cognitive Modelling; Cognitive Neuroscience; Conceptual and Linguistic Development; and Social Processes, Risk and Health.

The school was awarded a grade of 5A in the recent Research Assessment Exercise and the maximum score in the latest Teaching Quality Assessment.
