Course overview

The MSc in Electronic Communications and Computer Engineering (ECCE) combines the University of Nottingham’s academic excellence with strong industry relevance. The programme provides graduates with advanced expertise in 5G/6G mobile and satellite communications systems, AI-driven electronic communications, Internet of Things, embedded computing and digital signal processing. The curriculum is fully aligned with the UK Engineering Council’s AHEP4 standards.

Designed to shape the next generation of technology leaders, the MSc in ECCE equips graduates to drive innovation in next-generation communications, robotics, automations, and so on, all while benefiting from China’s dynamic tech ecosystem and the world-class research environment at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC).


Entry requirements

Course requirements:

2:1 level or above (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject. Applicant with high 2:2 from Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering or equivalent should be reviewed on case by case basis. Applicant's CV should be provided. For applicants with a degree from the Chinese mainland universities, the minimum weighted average score varies from 78 to 85, depending on the university where they studied. 

English Language Requirements:

  • IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element)
  • PTE Academic 65 (minimum 59)
  • TOEFL (IBT) 80 (minimum 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking)
