Course overview

This MRes programme aims to provide the students with programmes of the necessary advanced, technical, professional and specialised study skills within the fields of Environmental Science and Engineering, and to develop a critical awareness of the advanced techniques and technological advances available to conduct state of the art research in these areas. Students have the opportunity to explore these in experiment and modelling oriented projects, and complete the course by analysis and interpretation of research results and writing up a dissertation for examination according to the established procedure at the University of Nottingham. By taking a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning the subject, the course aims to provide a more robust understanding of the subject and the ability to apply it in industrial practices or further studies.

Entry requirements

Course requirements - an honours degree at 2.1 or a masters at merit level or above in a relevant subject (or international equivalent).Relevant disciplines include Environmental Science, Geographical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or any other appropriate science or engineering discipline.Language requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English or whose entry qualification was not obtained in the English medium are required to provide evidence of their proficiency in English.
