Course overview
Whether your interest is in information systems, software engineering, multimedia or telecommunications, the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology will provide you with a solid foundation in the relevant technologies and theoretical concepts.
Different levels of entry are available based on the previous experience of individual students. As well as providing foundation IT skills for entrants with limited IT experience, the program provides opportunities for experienced IT professionals to enhance and apply their skills within emerging technology driven growth areas including IT, communications, business and entrepreneurship.
Entry requirements
Prospective students are asked to apply directly to the University. This program is open to both domestic and international students.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification in any discipline
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of 3 years or equivalent qualification in a related field
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of 3 years or equivalent qualification in a non-related field plus 1 year relevant work experience
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of 2 years or equivalent qualification in a related field plus 1 year relevant work experience
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma of 1 year or equivalant qualification ina related field plus 2 years relevant work experience
- A minimum of 3 years demonstrated relevant work experience in a related field (assessed on a case-by-case basis)
- Other qualifications and work experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Related fields of study may include but are not limited to IT, computing, science, technology, business or communications. Relevant work experience may include but is not limited to technical/professional positions in IT, computing, science, technology, business or communications.
