Course overview
The Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media Arts at the University of New York in Prague combines media and communication theory, critical thinking, and innovative technical abilities in order to develop graduates with creative skillsets for today’s technologically-focused and integrated economies.
The multidisciplinary program integrates traditional areas of Communication and Media study (including media effects, culture, political economy, linguistics, and psychology) with digital media creativity and creation in the areas of video, web, and mobile applications.
The merging of these areas results in graduates with an awareness and sensitivity to media and communication theory, and the effects of media technologies on society, but with the practical skills to engage in artistic endeavors in digital media. Combining aspects of communications, business, art, and digital media results in the possibility of applying skills and concepts to a variety of careers, from media writing, visual arts, multimedia production, entrepreneurship, and more.
