About Sustainable Civil Engineering (Structural), MSc(Eng) - at University of Liverpool
This practically-based, full-time programme is ideal for both recent graduates and experienced engineers interested in a professional career in the structural civil engineering field.
It provides advanced technical and managerial training in the design, construction and maintenance of civil and structural engineering works.
There's a strong focus on wider sustainable development, including sustainability in materials, structural and environment engineering.
This 12-month programme consists of taught modules over two semesters and a major project starting in semester 2 and continuing through the summer. Assessment is by examinations, coursework and an individual dissertation. Places on the programme are limited to between 15 and 20.
ProjectsProject work, based on a topic of industrial or scientific relevance, contributes 60 credits and is carried out in laboratories in the University or at an approved placement in industry. The project is examined by dissertation, and award of the MSc (Eng) degree will require evidence of in-depth understanding, mastery of research techniques, ability to analyse assembled data, and assessment of outcomes.
