About Conservation and Resource Management, MRes - at University of Liverpool
Human impacts on the environment have never been greater. As we approach the 6th mass extinction of species and face the prospect of global climate change, we are just beginning to realize how much we depend on ecosystems to provide us with services such as food, water, clean air, waste disposal and fibre. There has never been a more exciting time to study conservation biology and resource management.
Our one-year programmes train students to an advanced level in conservation science and resource management, enabling them to become conservation professionals in research or the government, non-governmental organization, and consultancy sectors.
The MRes programme has an emphasis on developing individual research skills. Students therefore take 60 credits of taught modules and a 120 credit research project.
