FAQ

1. What do I need to apply for an International Master's program?*

  • We accept students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree from a recognized institution of higher education with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or 80% (Israeli system) or equivalent. We can also accept students with an expected date of graduation by the beginning of the school year.
  • Original transcript and diploma, which can be obtained from your study institution or translated and notarized at your home country.
  • Proven competence in English (if your native language is not English or you haven’t previously studied in an English-taught higher education institution); TOEFL (grade- 89) or equivalent exams; IELTS (grade 6.5); Duo lingo (110 points); TOEFL code 0955 if your degree was studied in English.
  • Two recommendation letters (minimum).
  • A Personal Statement\Motivational letter.
  • CV/Resume.
  • Medical Forms – you can submit the self-statement first, and submit the rest later.
  • Copy of valid passport.
  • MBA programs require GMAT\GRE test results.

2. Do I need to speak or learn Hebrew to apply?

No, you do not need to speak or learn Hebrew, as all courses are taught in English. However, if you're interested in an opportunity to learn Hebrew, we encourage you to do so in one of our language courses. For further information, click here.

3. What are the costs to complete my international Master's degree?

  • One year Master's program tuition - $10600 USD.
  • Obligatory health insurance fee - from $1080 USD per year.
  • Supplementary fees for opening student cards, library passes etcetera - approximately $80 USD.
  • Dormitory costs for single placement - from $475 USD per month.
  • Application fee - $140 USD.

4. I need financial aid to pursue my degree. Are there any scholarships available?

University of Haifa walks the talk of diversity, equity, inclusion and equal opportunities. Committed to prevent financial challenges from getting in the way of your academic dreams.

UHaifa International offers different types of scholarships:

  • Merit Based – offered to students with outstanding academic achievements.
  • Need Based – offered to students experiencing socio-economic challenges and may cover up to 50% of your tuition.
  • DEI Scholarships - for students with a proven track record in promoting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.

Please note that these scholarship options are aimed at helping you with your tuition fee and do not cover travel or living expenses.

5. What is the process for obtaining a student visa?

All students must receive their Student Visa before coming to Israel.

Most likely you will need to submit:
1. Your passport, valid for at least two more years.

2. Your letter of acceptance to the University of Haifa.

3. Two copies of the visa application form with an attached photo.

4. Proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition and living expenses.

 However, please note that Israeli visa processes and requirements vary from country to country, so please verify this with the Israeli Embassy closest to you.

6. How long will it take to complete my International Master's Degree?

Most of the Master's programs at UHaifa international are non-thesis programs and can be completed in just one year. Few programs are thesis track oriented, and may require a prolonged study period and stay in Israel.

7. Are your master's degrees internationally recognized?

Yes, the University of Haifa is an internationally recognized, globally renowned and ranked academic institution.

8. Am I allowed to work In Israel during my studies?

According to Israeli law, International students holding a student visa are not allowed to work in Israel during their studies. However, the law allows you to continue to work remotely for a workplace in your home country.
