Course overview

This programme will help build your financial skillset so that you can pursue roles in corporate finance, financial management and risk management within different sectors. It is ideally suited to students with an accounting, business, economics or numerate background.

The design of the programme takes into account the need for businesses to address the consequences of globalisation and global operations on financial management with emphasis being placed on risk assessment and management.

It will equip you with a strong foundation in finance theory and risk management, and provide you with the experience and skills employers demand. You will have the opportunity to undertake positions such as financial manager, corporate treasurer or risk analyst.

Industry experts provide guest lectures, career development advice and curriculum input. Practitioners are involved in developing content and teaching on various courses including Project Finance, and Financial Analysis and Valuation. As part of our continuing guest lecture series, senior executives from Northern Trust and Barclays have presented to a broad audience of academics, and undergraduate, postgraduate and research students.
