  • Show a high degree of autonomy in your studies
  • Operate a range of analytical instruments

The Department of Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Environmental Sciences, part of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, offers a diverse range of programmes underpinned by excellent teaching and world-class
research.

Our innovative degrees employ the very latest learning strategies and assessment techniques. They are designed to produce fully qualified graduates with all the skills necessary to secure employment. Each of our programmes has been developed in collaboration with industry and, where appropriate, is accredited by the
relevant professional body.

Teaching style

Teaching is delivered using a wide range of methods, including lectures, workshops, small group tutorials, practical sessions and fieldwork. An element of choice is built into each degree so students can tailor their learning experience to their particular interests.

Support

Each student is given regular feedback on his or her academic performance and is offered support through our excellent programme of pastoral care. Our students can therefore focus on their studies and have the best opportunity to flourish and excel in their chosen field.

Local area

Our Medway Campus is in the rapidly developing area of Chatham Maritime in Kent. The campus is home to three universities, making it a vibrant place to work, study and relax. Greenwich and Kent Students' Unions Together (www.gkunions.co.uk), a partnership between Students' Union University of Greenwich and the students' union at the University of Kent, organise a variety of sports and social
activities on campus and run a number of student societies.
