About Business Economics, BA (Hons) - at University of Greenwich
You will study courses in quantitative methods, professional practice, economic history and managerial economics in this highly regarded programme.
A range of optional courses will enable you to tailor the programme to your own particular interests. You will gain practical skills in investigation, information management and presentation, and transferable skills in analysis, decision making and communication, all of which are highly valued by employers.
EmployabilityWe have strong connections with companies in Canary Wharf, one of the UK's financial centres. This offers you networking, mentoring and internship opportunities, making it a perfect location to start your career.
You will work on an extended project in your final year and have the option to undertake a work placement to help develop core skills.
Youwill connect with employers through our dedicated Business SchoolEmployability Team who focus on developing your employmentskills. They also provide you with CV support and will inviteyou to employment fairs to network with employers and recruiters fromindustries. We will also encourage you to join societies such as Trading and Investment and take part in competitions like the UK Trading Challenge. We are proud that our team of first year Greenwich students won the competition, beating teams from many other universities.
Business start-upYou will be encouraged to enter the university's Enterprise Challenge which rewards student entrepreneurship and innovation. Previous winners received a prize of £5,000 for their idea of developing an enterprise and study hub.
