Becominga social worker requires not only compassion but a high level of commitment andresilience. Our degree will provide you with practical experience, knowledgeand skills to ensure you are ready for the demands of a diverse career insocial work and care.

Thisprofessional entry qualification will result in a recommendation to the Health and CareProfessions Council (HCPC) to become a registered social worker.

Duringyour time with us you will work on a diverse range of issues includingdisability, family breakdown, bereavement, discrimination and poverty. You willalso gain a vital understanding of disadvantage from an anti-discriminatory andanti-oppressive perspective.

Ourdegree has strong work placement arrangements with local authorities and socialcare agencies which has been praised by the HCPC.

Teachingstaff are research-active and experts in their respective field. We developgraduates who are critical, independent thinkers, who base their practice onresearch and sources of evidence. We have well-equipped facilities andlaboratories to support your activities and we employ creative teaching methodsand assessment techniques.
