Course overview
- Learn about the latest techniques and technologies used in mechanical engineering, and how to apply these to complex contemporary problems in a way that's sustainable and responsible
- Gain a range of computational skills enabling you to analyse systems using numerical methods, simulation and optimisation techniques
- Teaching is supported by internationally-leading research in areas including nano-scale materials engineering, biomedical engineering, additive layer manufacturing and application and recycling of polymers and composites
- Facilities include our microscopy suite, where full training is offered on a range of imaging techniques including Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy, Focused Ion Beam, X-Ray and CT scanner
- Get support in finding an industry or academic project that will become the subject of your dissertation.
Entry requirements
All applicants are considered individually on merit although we usually require a 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
