Study

This MSc programme combines new investment in engineering with existing and substantial engineering expertise. The degree explores the fields of applied mathematics, energy resource, environmental management and electronic engineering.

Structure

This course equips its students with training in the fundamentals of engineering, along with its application to the energy industry. All students undertake a substantial engineering project. It is anticipated that many students will have the opportunity to undertake the practical elements of this project in an industrial setting with an employer in the energy sector.

Teaching

The Faculty of Science houses an impressive range of engineering expertise, particularly in the Schools of Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Computing Sciences and Chemistry. The Faculty is internationally renowned for its research and teaching in many fields of science, and has significant new investment in its research facilities.

Employability

Employers have identified a shortage of engineers, particularly in the energy sector, so graduates from this programme will be in strong demand.
